We have a blessed day altogether with the Turkish Community coming out from every part of the Bay Area on August 11th.

Mothers, fathers, grand mothers, grand fathers, grand daughters, grand sons and friends had started arriving early hours of that Sunday morning with delicious food and goodies to surprise each other and to share those unique moments. Everybody has that special bayram smile and happiness that we used to have from our childhood. Adults just greeted each other and celebrated those ecstatic moments while kids were playing at the Children’s room. We had also teen agers who are so curious about hearing stories from their elders.

Then each and every one of us just memorize the beautiful country that we are coming from and our family and friends.

The sweet taste of Baklava from that day is still tasting in my mouth. I am looking forward to having another bayram morning with the big Turkish family I have got in the Bay Area.
